Let's Connect on Tuesdays

Documentation

This page is dedicated to how we document our rehearsals and keeping up to date with any current or future projects.

Documenting and Archiving

In documenting our performances we will use social media as a form of documentation as it will allow us to upload images of our rehearsals and pose questions to our following as a form of evaluation.

We aim to use Instagram as the main form of video documentation as we feel the community of Instagram will find the content more relatable and our outreach for the first demographic will be well met on this social media platform. This can also act as an archive in which we can keep records of our previous performances and rehearsals of this we can refer back to.

We will record our process of research and development strategies via Word Documents which will be uploaded onto a company Google Drive, this will then be put on the website for the public to see once our research has been completed and the documentation has been covered with the GDPR guidelines.

Tuesday Connections also plans to use Twitter as strategy to connect with other artists and companies. To help build connections with other artists and performance venues. With the help of our pre-existing connections will be able to build a following surrounding these areas.

With the help of this portfolio we will also use this as a method of updating the site to enable an existing and developing archive of our work which we hope the audience can engage with. We also aim to use this as a place which details workshop ideas for our performance so you can contact us if you wish us to discuss our work with you.

Documenting Performance: The Context and Processes of Digital Curation and Archiving.

Toni Sant on the documentation of performance suggests that. 'Performance becomes something else whenever it is documented, the documents themselves cannot be regarded simply as incomplete remains from live events' (Sant, 2017: 5).
