Footlights Theatre School Tour.
Footlights Theatre is a company which teach children performance skills of singing, acting and dancing. They also direct and orchestrate school tours in order to help students with their GCSE's. I was lucky to be involved with a school tour of Macbeth in which I played the eponymous character.
It was toured around 7 schools across the north west, we condensed the play to run for only an hour with 4 actors. This was that we were able to show the key points in the play. This was followed by a Q and A session with the students so they were able to ask our opinion on the characters or help clear any confusion with the text.
As this was toured by a company it was a great experience for me to understand what working in a theatre company is like.
