RALI is a theatre company created in my undergraduate degree at university. We created a performance detailing the grim reality of child sexual exploitation. The performance managed to gain the attention of Blackpool City Council which expressed their interest in taking this performance on tour through schools throughout the area.
That Girl Sammy, is the story of a young girl who meets a man at the bus stop on the way to school, he gains her trust and begins to message her offering her the world. It's through his act of giving she begins to spiral down into a world she never thought she would be involved in. We used Verbatim Theatre to offer an insight into real stories from survivors, families and friends of those who have been through this ordeal.
Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic the performances were discontinued.
